Remote Repair Support for Chinese EVs

Your bay has a BYD Atto 3 sitting in it. The scan tool gives you a code nobody recognises,
the OEM portal wants a dealer login you do not have, and the customer wants the car back tomorrow.

That is the gap we close.

What We Actually Do

We run a workshop-side support desk staffed by technicians who work with Chinese OEM diagnostic
platforms every day. You send the vehicle details and what you are seeing. We send back a repair path
you can execute — not a forum guess.

  • Fault code interpretation. The OEM definition, the set conditions and the enable
criteria for the module that flagged it — not the generic OBD-II sentence.
  • Guided diagnostic sequences. A specific test order with expected values at each
step, so you stop fitting parts you do not need.
  • Service procedures and torque data. Removal and installation instructions,
tightening torques, fluid specifications and calibration steps taken from OEM documentation.
  • Immobiliser, gateway and module work. Component protection, key learning, ECU
replacement and high-voltage battery registration where the process requires OEM tooling.
  • Wiring and connector identification. Pinouts, connector views and circuit routing
when a loom has been disturbed or water-damaged.

If your vehicle is not on the list, send it anyway. We will tell you honestly whether we can help
rather than take the job and stall.

How It Works

  1. Send the job. Send the VIN, model year, the fault codes you pulled and what you have already tested. Most requests are assessed and quoted within one working day.
  2. We review and quote. You know the scope and the cost before any work starts.
No hourly creep, no surprise invoice.
  3. You get the repair path. Delivered by email or a live call, with the documents
and values you need to finish the job. Follow-up questions on the same case are included.

What You Need On Your Side

  • A scan tool that can read the vehicle — we work with whatever you have, and tell you when a
specific OEM function genuinely requires dealer tooling.
  • The fault codes as they were stored, not cleared. Freeze frame data helps a great deal.
  • Patience for one round trip if the first test narrows it down. That is how diagnosis works.

Common Jobs We Get Asked About

Symptom on the customer’s ticket What usually sits behind it
Won’t accept a charge, or stops mid-session Charge port temperature sensing, handshake
timeout, or an on-board charger fault logged in a module the generic scanner cannot reach
High-voltage system will not come up Interlock loop, contactor control, or an isolation
fault on a single component that needs measured, not guessed
Warning light with no drivability change Often a sensor plausibility code — cheap to fix
once you know which one, expensive to find by substitution
Car is bricked after a battery or module swap Registration, coding or component
protection that was never completed

FAQ

Do I need special equipment?
Not to start. Send the codes and we will tell you what can be tested with what you have, and where the
hard limit is.

How fast is the turnaround?
Most cases are answered within one working day. Urgent jobs coming out of a bay can be flagged as such
and prioritised.

What if it turns out to be something else?
Then we keep working the case. You are paying for a solution to the fault, not for a single guess.

Is this a replacement for the OEM portal?
No, and we will not pretend it is. Where a job genuinely needs dealer tooling or a licensed subscription,
we will say so up front so you can price it into the customer’s quote.

Send Us a Job

Email logan@evrepairbase.com with the VIN, model year and fault codes.
Include a photo of the instrument cluster if warning lights are involved — it saves a round trip.

Workshops that send a clear, complete first message get the fastest answer. That is the only queue we
run.
